Convenient Care

Our partnership with University Medical Center (UMC) as well as our offered services in Childress and Tahoka help us achieve our goal of supplying you with the services you need close to home. Together, cardiovascular services are offered in a regional hub for cardiac patients and their referring physicians, offering quick and easy access to a variety of cardiac-specialized care.

Anticoagulation

  • Management of patients on Coumadin (Warfarin) therapy
  • In clinic, home monitoring, and education available

Diagnostic Cardiac Catheterizations and Interventional Cardiology

  • Determination of atherosclerotic narrowing of the coronary arteries
  • Detection and assessment of coronary artery disease in catheterization laboratory
  • Monitorization of circulatory system using fluoroscopic imaging
  • Treatment of cardiac diagnoses using strategically selected interventional procedures

Electrophysiology (EP)

  • Implantation and management of single and dual chamber pacemakers and defibrillators
  • Cardiac resynchronization therapy for heart failure patients (Biventricular pacemaker and ICD implantation and management)
  • Loop recorder implantation for arrhythmia detection and monitoring
  • Subcutaneous ICD implantation and management
  • Electrophysiology studies and catheter ablation of SVT including WPW syndrome
  • Complex ablations including left and right atrial flutter ablation, atrial fibrillation ablation including radio-frequency ablation and cryoablation
  • Ventricular Ablation
  • Management and ablation of ventricular tachycardia and arrhythmia including endocardial and epicardial approach
  • Left Atrial Appendage closure using WATCHMAN device

Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (EVAR)

Hypertension

  • Service provided by a pharmacist to support a patient’s needs in relation to medication management
  • Pharmacist works with your Cardiologist to enhance medication management of a patient’s blood pressure
  • Additional education resources are provided along with frequent monitoring and management of a patient’s blood pressure

Lipid Management

  • Screenings for genetic lipid disorders
  • Exploration of therapies and treatment options to control lipids and reduce the risk of heart disease
  • Diabetes prevention and management
  • Consultation for management and control of blood pressure

Vascular Intervention for Peripheral Vascular Disease (PVD)

  • PVD evaluation and diagnosis via physical exam, angiography, blood tests, magnetic resonance angiography (MRA), doppler ultrasound, or other selected diagnostic test
  • Consultation and planning of lifestyle changes for prevention and management
  • Angioplasty procedures to dilate arteries 
  • Removal of plaque via atherectomy
  • Vascular bypass surgery

Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)

  • Minimally invasive procedure to repair damaged valve without removal
  • Treatment option for intermediate risk or high risk patients for standard valve replacement surgery
  • Replacement of narrowed aortic valve to relieve symptoms of aortic valve stenosis
